Welcome to the Youth Services Department of the Berwyn Public Library. The Youth Services Department is located in the South-East corner of the main level of the Berwyn Public Library. Whenever you visit the Youth Services desk, you will be sure to find at least one, if not more, friendly librarians waiting to assist you. The Youth Services Department has many different services available to the public, such as: story time, class visits, summer reading program, raffles and contests, Sneezle Packs, assistance with reference questions, and assistance with reader's advisory questions.
Included in the Youth Services Department is the Primary Room, the Young Adult Room, and the Middle Grade section. The Primary Room, which is intended for children ages birth to 6 years old, is a special place for small children and all those young at heart. Read a story with a stuffed friend while enjoying the rainforest. The Middle Grade section, which is intended for children 7-12, is the main portion of our collection. In the Middle Grade section is encyclopedias, our large reference collection, non-fiction, fiction, parent teacher, science fair, books on tape and CD, magazines, and paperback series books. Finally, the Young Adult Room is a cool place to do homework or to read a book. Come in to enjoy the fireplace or to check out our newest books. New ideas and programs are always around the corner!
Now that you've had a brief tour of the Youth Services Department, please use the navigation buttons on the left to help guide you through the pages of the Youth Services portion of the Berwyn Public Library's web site.
